Key Responsibilities: 

  • Expert Guidance: Be the go-to expert in fire engineering, leveraging your extensive onsite experience to provide invaluable advice and support.
  • Technical Due Diligence: Lead comprehensive due diligence activities, including desktop reviews and peer reviews, to assess project viability, identify risks, and recommend effective mitigation measures.
  • Fire Safety Excellence: Apply your deep understanding of fire safety, engineering design, and building safety principles to enhance property safety.
  • Onsite Review: Oversee installation and remediation works to ensure compliance with all safety requirements.
  • Innovative Solutions: Utilize your expertise in external wall design to recommend improvements in fire safety measures.
  • Legislative Compliance: Stay abreast of all relevant legislation and design guidance, including the Building Safety Act, ensuring our practices are always ahead of the curve.
  • Collaborative Integration: Work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to seamlessly integrate technical advice into client projects.
  • Effective Communication: Prepare and deliver detailed technical reports, documentation, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations clearly.
  • Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior team members, fostering their professional growth and development.

 Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Stakeholder Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with regulatory bodies, industry associations, and other professionals to stay informed about industry trends and best practices.
  • Business Development: Support business development initiatives by attending industry events, conferences, and networking activities, showcasing our client's services and identifying potential opportunities.

 Mandatory Requirements/Experiences:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Fire Engineering, Building Sciences, or a related field. Additional certifications and accreditations are highly desirable.
  • Experience: Extensive experience as a fire engineer with a significant onsite presence, preferably within the Real Estate sector.
  • Technical Acumen: Proven track record in conducting technical due diligence and a deep understanding of fire safety, fire engineering design, and building safety principles.
  • Legislative Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of applicable legislation and design guidance related to fire safety and building safety, including the Building Safety Act.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in relevant software and tools used in fire engineering and technical advisory services.
  • Project Management: Strong project management abilities, including prioritizing tasks, managing multiple projects, and meeting deadlines.
